Winter Bushcraft – Fixing a Broken Axe, Flint & Steel Fire, Camp Cooking, Traditional Pioneer Gear

I head out on a day trip in the backcountry, and things don’t go as planned.

In this video, I get back out into the Chilcotin backcountry with the plans of doing a short and simple day trip, but things immediately go wrong as the crack that had been forming in my axe’s handle finally gives. Follow along with me as I deal with the real-life situation of losing my most important tool, and how I continue my day in the bush. Camp building, axe handle mending, knot work, flint and steel fire, bush cooking, and more – all in the exceedingly stunning Chilcotin backcountry of western Canada.

Enjoy the video, everyone!
